We had recently reported that superstar Amitabh Bachchan was conferred with this incredible honour.
He was given this award yesterday by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
In true Big B style, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to speak about this momentous occasion.
He said, "Honoured and humbled, the Padma Vibhushan ! Words fail me to acknowledge the love and affection of the people that brought me here !"
There's a reason he is considered a gem, at every step of the way he never fails to remain grounded and thank those around him.
On the professional front, he will be seen in Piku with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan and Wazir with Farhan Akhtar.
