After this he become popular due to 3 Idiots movie he did role of Joy Lobo. From the role of Joy Lobo he becomes popular in Bollywood. Recently he did Khamoshiyan as a lead star. Movie also did well and Ali got so many good response due to his acting. But now his career has started.
He is doing more and more quality movies day by day. Recently he did Furious 7. This is his achievement to work with world most popular stars. In Furious 7 star cast are Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson. So he got to chance to work with world best stars.
Now in Furious 7 he did role of Zafar. Zafar is friend of Ramsey to whom she sent God's Eye for safekeeping.
